Visita a Puerto Rico del presidente de los Estados Unidos John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) y la primera dama Jacqueline Kennedy (1929-1994) el 15 de diciembre de 1961. Fueron recibido por el gobernador de Puerto Rico Luis Muñoz Marín (1898-1980) y la primera dama Inés María Mendoza (1908-1990). El avión presidencial Air Force One aterrizó en el Aeropuerto Internacional de Isla Verde (hoy Aeropuerto Internacional Luis Muñoz Marín). Luego el presidente Kennedy, el gobernador Muñoz Marín y sus acompañantes se trasladaron a La Fortaleza en el Viejo San Juan.
